The kit detects the amount of CO2 in the cooling system caused by worn head gaskets, deformation of cylinder heads or cracks in the engine block. No need to disassemble engine parts.
Product features:
- Fast and accurate measurement
- V-shaped cone for universal use
- The device allows easy diagnosis and quick detection of head gasket damage. When the head gasket fails, some of the exhaust gas containing CO2 enters the cooling system. The principle of operation of the device is based precisely on the measurement of the amount of CO2 in the cooling system. The reaction liquid in the tester chamber reacts with the cooling system gas and changes color if the CO2 content increases.
- The design of the two-chamber device (with a filter between the chambers) allows the separation of residues (eg coolant droplets) in the first chamber, which can have a negative impact on the test results.
- It has two chambers separated by a filter and a universal connection with the radiator cap
In the set:
- Hand pump for pumping gas from the cooling system
- 250 ml plastic container (without reaction liquid)
- Empty container for used liquid (the reaction liquid can be used several times if it has not changed color, provided that no coolant has entered it)
- Connection with a quick-disconnect connector, which allows a tight connection and therefore more accurate measurement
